The new Polo is 19% more fuel efficient than the previous model, its the only petrol vehicle with under 5l/100 thanks to it’s new 1.2 litre TSI engine which has a combined fuel consumption of 4.7/100km. The new Polo is also 24% more fuel efficient than the bestselling vehicle in its segment which is a savings of $420 per year.

More Dynamic

The design of the new Polo is more sportier, more dynamic and masculine than the previous model. The newly designed interior with new chrome details, controls, and new upholstery design give the interior a premium appearance.

More Technology

The new Polo is equipped with state-of-the-art infotainment systems in what is known as MIB2, this is the software and hardware system which is seen in the Golf. The MIB2 platform is equipped with a 5” inch colour display with touchscreen,6 speakers 4/front and 2/rear, CD drive mp3/wma, iPod compatibility, SD card slot, AUX-IN, connectivity package – Bluetooth and media USB.

More Torque and Power

The new polo is fit with a completely new engine based on the 1.4 TSI used in the Golf. With features like adjustable cam timing, exhaust manifold integrated into the head and electronically controlled turbo. The Polo now has an improved fuel economy to 4.7l per100km. Along with the improved fuel economy the engine delivers a flat torque curve delivering maximum torque from 1400 rpm through to 3500rpm for the 66kw engine and 4000 rpm for the CrossPolo 81kw engine.
